Nut Bread

Yield:
2-3 loaves
Ingredients and Preparation
- 1½ cups water
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 cups Bob’s Red Mill Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 tablespoon salt

- ½ cup nonfat, dry milk
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped pea size
- 1 egg, beaten, mixed with 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Preparation

Pour the water, oil and honey into a sauce pan. Heat to
120 degrees F.

Measure 2 cups Bob’s Red Mill Whole Wheat Flour into a
mixer bowl and stir in the salt, nonfat dry milk and yeast. Stir until
blended.

Pour the heated liquid over the flour and add the eggs.
Work into a batter like dough. Add the last cups of whole wheat flour,
bread flour.

Knead for 10 minutes.

Let rise for 1 hour.

Divide into 2 pieces, shape into a ball and let rise for
5 minutes. Shape into two medium loaf pans, greased.

Let rise 45 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F for 20 minutes. Bake for
40 minutes at 375 degrees.
