Bob's Red Mill Lavender Pecan Bread
2007 Oregon's Best Winner

Yield 1 loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups warm water

  • 3 cups Bob’s Red Mill unbleached white flour

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 2 tablespoons dried milk

  • 1 tablespoon chopped, fresh lavender flowers

  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • ½ cups chopped pecans

  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Preparation

  1. Place all ingredients in the bread pan of your bread machine. Select dough setting and, when cycle is complete roll out onto a floured board and shape into a loaf.

  2. Place in a buttered bread pan. Let rise 45 minutes.

  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Bake for 35 minutes.
