Oregon State Fair,
August 22 - September 1, 2008
With more than 9,000 things to do, see and taste, the 2008
Oregon State Fair is too big to miss. It truly has something for
everybody, with events and activities that are classic and
cutting-edge, wholesome and hip, rockin’ and refined, and
uniquely Oregon. Where else could you, in one day, go to a draft
horse driving competition, enter a watermelon spitting contest,
ride a Ferris wheel, try your hand (and feet) at rock climbing,
taste Oregon’s finest wines, and see teen sensation Vanessa
Hudgens, star of the High School Musical movies, in concert?
So come and visit. Better yet, participate in the
fair. It could be a talent or skill you find rewarding or maybe it's
a group activity the whole family can get involved in.

Oregon County Fairs, various dates
Oregon fairs have been an important expression of our culture
and heritage even before statehood in the mid-1800s. Each year we
gather together in our communities to showcase our unique talents
and share our common heritage.
So visit YOUR Oregon fair this year. Better yet, participate in the
fair. It could be a talent or skill you find rewarding or maybe it's
a group activity the whole family can get involved in.
